I think we found our favorite National Park and campground of the trip. Two Medicine is a remote area of Glacier know to the Crow Indians as the “Backbone of the World”. We had a great private site that backed up to a 9,000 foot mountain and high meadow that was wildlife central. We saw a male grizzly bear, two male black bears, and female black bear with three cubs during our ten day stay.
The hiking was incredible. Probably the highlight for me was a 16 mile hike up to the Pitamakan Pass. The views down to two seperate glacier valleys and high mountain lakes were eye popping gorgeous.
Walking Lucy one night we heard a large rustling in the bushes. A massive rack emerged attached to this large bull moose.
Another wildlife close encounter was the below black bear on the road to Many Glacier.
Can we get our rig up there? It looks like our kind of camp. Way to go Jaime with the mountain goat, almost as good as Scotts. M & D
No problem getting up there. Big spots. #96 at the end was where we stayed.
