We just got into Page, AZ after 5 days at the Grand Canyon. We had a great time, the weather was perfect and the canyon of course grand. We did a couple of days hiking around the rim trail with Lucy soaking in the sights. Very surreal… and that was just the outfits some of the tourists wore.
I did a hike yesterday down and up the Bright Angel Trail. The National Park service says it was 6 miles but Mr. Garmin claims 8.41 miles. The trail was very steep and coming back up as I climbed back up to the 7,000 foot rim my legs and lungs could feel it. Fortunately the sweet smell of mule dung and piss kept me from passing out.
