We did a quick day trip down to Algodones, Mexico. I think the town exists for the sole purpose of providing cheap dentistry, drugs, optical, and booze to visiting gringo snowbirds staying in the Yuma area. We picked up our 120 day FMM tourist cards in preparation for our Baja trip next month.
Our next stop was Rubio Dental Group to get our teeth cleaned.
Friends had recommended Rubio. Their office and equipment looked modern and clean. $30 for a basic exam and cleaning seemed reasonable although we have seen ads for $20 at other places.
We met up with Jase and Lauri for tacos afterwards. We purchased the obligatory pharmaceuticals and tequila (conveniently in the same building) and walked back across the border without any delay.
