From Cougar we headed North and stayed an uneventful night in the poorly named “Paradise RV Park”. The next day brought rain and a slog through Seattle traffic. We finally climbed into Cascades and rolled into the Leavenworth RV Campground. The campground is 18 miles from the faux Bavarian town of Leavenworth which turned out to be no big deal since there was a ton to do around the area besides shop for nutcrackers and lederhosen.
We inflated our boards and enjoyed SUPing on nearby Lake Wenatchee. The water is fed from glacier and snow melt. As you might imagine it’s a bit chilly for a swim.
Jeep trip up to Mad River for some mountain biking.
Crosby wanted out to explore.
Mad River had a great trail for moutain biking and hiking but unfortunately allowed motorcycles so you had to be careful.
Awesome hiking and views but very steep.
